In memory of David Woytuck
Dave passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the age of 59. Dave is survived by his son Jason (Tanya Campbell) of Calgary and daughter Jody Pichler, and their mother Darlene; and grandchildren Tyler Woytuck-Pichler, and Brandon and Nicholas (Nicky) Pichler. He is predeceased by his daughter Melody in 2008, and his brother Allen in 2015. For many years you could have found Dave at a fair or at the Flintstones Theme Park drawing charactres. In the past he started with big wooden signs then he went on to create all sorts of signs. One of his creations includes the Alaskan Mile “0” Highway monument located in Dawson Creek, B.C. After 10 years of doing signs Dave moved on to creating other art after going to Northern Lights College in Dawson Creek , where Dave ended up teaching the teacher as well as learning. This is where his artistic side exploded into all sorts of art. He created Sunday cartoons in the weekend newspaper, and cartoon maps of Kelowna and surrounding areas among a lot of other projects. Dave’s art work even ended up on a Cover of a phone book. His artistic talents will be seen and appreciated by many for years to come.
